Ceremonies
As a certified Civil Funeral Celebrant, I offer a range of services to help you create a ceremony that truly reflects the life being remembered.
From our first conversation to the day of the service, I’ll guide you with care, compassion, and professionalism, ensuring every detail is handled with respect and understanding.

Ashes
If your loved one was cremated, you may be unsure how best to care for their ashes, or whether a small ceremony would feel right.
There are two main choices:
-
Scattering ashes – releasing them in a meaningful place
-
Interment of ashes – placing them in the ground as a permanent resting place, sometimes alongside another family member
An ashes ceremony is often especially helpful after a Direct/Pure Cremation, offering a sense of closure. I can guide you with music, readings, contributions from family or friends, symbolic gestures, timing, and practical arrangements. The ceremony may be religious or non-religious.
Further Services:
Help Following a Direct/Pure Cremation
After a Direct/Pure Cremation, where no service was held and no one attended, some families recognise the need to come together to remember their loved one and gain a sense of closure.
This might be:
-
A quiet remembrance
-
A relaxed gathering
-
A celebration of life
-
A full-on party
I can help plan and lead the occasion, advising on music, readings, speeches, photos, symbolic gestures, venues, refreshments, and logistics. The ceremony may be religious or non-religious and can take place during the day or evening.

How I Work With You
Creating a meaningful ceremony is a collaborative journey.
Here's what you can expect when you choose to work with me.
01
Initial Contact
Reach out by phone, email, or contact form. I'll respond promptly to arrange our first meeting at a time and place convenient for you.
02
Getting to Know You
We'll meet to discuss your loved one's life, your wishes for the ceremony, and any special elements you'd like to include. This typically takes 1-2 hours in a relaxed setting.
03
Ceremony Creation
I'll craft a personalised ceremony script, incorporating stories, memories, music, and readings. You can also request a draft of the ceremony words in advance, so you know what will be said.
04
The Ceremony
On the day, I'll arrive early to coordinate with the venue and funeral director, I then lead the ceremony with warmth, dignity, and professionalism.
